Musical theatre is certainly one of the most complicated and unique forms of art. It requires a totally sophisticated collaboration between a book writer, choreographer, director, dancers, singers, actors, composer, lyricist, set designer, lighting director and more. It is truly a collaborative effort.
Priceless is an original musical comedy with book, music and lyrics written by Ken Laub. It was performed in a workshop in 2004. "It concerns one man's journey to find out what really matters in his life." When a human being gets jolted into changing the direction of his journey, finding acceptance of his parents, true friendship with his fellows, and a true, real, unselfish love for another soul, the journey goes from one constantly trying to prove its value to one that is PRICELESS.
The musical workshop for Priceless was performed at the Beckett Theater on West 42nd Street. Those actors participating in this performance from the Broadway stage, Karen Ziemba, Mark Jacoby, Jim Walton, Nancy Ringham, Danny Burstein, Linda Purl, Michael Noun and others. The musical demos below were primarily performed for demo purposes by Clint Holmes, Carolee Carmelo, Jim Walton, Danny Burstein, Mark Jacoby, Nancy Ringham and the company which included Jeanna Schweppe, Ann Van Cleeve, Kristie Dale Sanders, Darin Baker, Alisa Klein and Hal Davis. The Musical Director was Eric Stem. Attached are several songs from the reading of Priceless.
